Baludera beach, located on the eastern side of the Baratang Island, is at a distance of around 9 kms from Nilambur Jetty. It is yet another silent and deserted beach on the Andamans that is yet to be explored and is completely uninhabited. Tourists prefer to visit this island because of its calm and serene environment, making it suitable for long evening walks. How to Reach:
Port Blair is the nearest airport from Baludera beach which is connected with all other major airports. The distance between Baludera Beach and Port Blair is around 100 kms, which can be covered by a bus or a hired cab on National Highway 223 that heads towards towards Diglipur. Alternatively, some tourists prefer to take a boat to directly reach the Nilambur Jetty (Middle Strait), which is closest to the Baludera beach.
Baludera beach is located at a distance of 9 kms from Nilambur Jetty and is connected by road from Baratang. It takes around 15 minutes to reach Nilambur Jetty from Baratang through a ferry and vice versa. Ferry ride to and from from the Nilambur Jetty are scheduled at regular intervals by the Andaman and Nicobar tourist department for the visits who wish to see Baludera beach. However, due to the close proximity, tourists prefer to travel by road to reach the beach.

Limestone Caves: At a distance of 30 kms from Baratang Jetty, are the ancient limestone caves that have attracted visitors since times immemorial. The boat ride between the jetty and the destination is considered as one of the must-have experience while visiting Andamans. Travelers, fascinated by the beauty of the boat ride journey describe their experience as ‘breathtaking’. Boats start from the jetty at 8 am in the morning for limestone caves. The ride is priced at a nominal cost of Rs. 300 per head. An encounter with the dense mangrove forests during the journey offers a best traveling experience to the visitors.
· Mud Volcano: Mud volcano, that are believed to have erupted last in 2005 after the Indian Ocean earthquake, are located 4 kms away from Baratang Jetty. · Parrot Island: This is a small island located at a distance of 30kms from Baratang Jetty. It is famous for its dense mangrove forests that are perfectly pruned by the returning parrots every evening. · Roglachang Beach: This beach is an ideal spot for those who would like to spend some peaceful time at the beach. Most suitable for long silent evening walks.

- While traveling to Baratang Island, it is beneficial to take tours and travel package being offered by the local tourism agents at Baratang Jetty.
- To avoid unavoidable circumstances, it is better to have packed food and water with oneself while visiting the Baratang Island.
- Do not forget to carry a torch during your visit to the limestone caves. It gets dark in the evening while returning back from the caves through the stretch of mangrove forest.
- Avoid putting hands into the water while travelling in the boat towards the limestone caves. The water that passes through the mangrove forest is believed to be infested with salt water crocodiles. There is no history of any mishaps though.
Weather and Climatic Conditions:
The best time to visit the Baludera beach is in winters and early summers. During this time, the temperature ranges between 23 to 31 degrees Celsius and weather is appropriately pleasant for best traveling experience.
